Preserve memories forever with a family casting kit by Navaris. The XL set includes enough materials for up to 4 adult or 8 children's hands, and includes a bucket for mixing and creating the mold.
MATERIALS- You'll need the included powders and bucket, plus another smaller container and distilled water.
MOLD- 1: Fill bucket with 5.4 qts (5070ml) water. Slowly add 3.1 lbs (1.4kg) alginate powder. Mix thoroughly until mixture turns pink. For best results, use an
electric mixer. | 2: Place hand(s) into mixture. Hold until mixture sets, which will get hard and turn white. Remove hand(s) carefully.
CAST- 3: Fill smaller container with 29 fl oz (857ml) water. Slowly add 4 lbs (1.8kg) plaster powder. Mix well. | 4: Fill mold with plaster mixture. Tap on container
to get out air. | 5: Let dry 3 hours. | 6: Tear open mold, turn over, and cut away small pieces until cast is revealed. Remove bottom with your fingers.
NOTE- Use distilled water, temp. 77°F (25°C). Otherwise, hard water could cause clumping. This is not a toy. For crafting purposes only.
